How it works
If you'd like to salary package this item, all you need to do is:
- make childcare arrangements with a provider
- let us know how much the fees will cost.
We’ll get your employer to set aside that amount from your pre-tax salary each time you’re paid, and then use those pre-tax dollars to pay the fees directly to the childcare centre on your behalf – on time, every time.
This is an on-going payment, which means that once you give us the OK to begin making payments, we’ll do so regularly until you tell us to stop.
What you need to know
The childcare centre needs to be on your employer’s premises to qualify.
If you are eligible to receive the Commonwealth Government’s Childcare benefit, make sure you seek independent financial advice before taking the step to salary package this item. That way you’ll know which will best maximise your savings.
