Deven Billimoria (Chief Executive Officer)

  • Deven joined SmartSalary in 2000 in a business development capacity, and was appointed as CEO in 2002. He supports the SmartSalary team in further developing the business and servicing existing clients. Deven's started his career as an engineering consultant, before turning to management consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton.
  • Deven has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.
  • Deven is keen traveler, with a preference towards backpacking through less developed pockets of the world.  He is also a closet economist and an aspiring blogger.  He has a weakness for red wine and macadamia nuts! 

Dave Adler (Chief Marketing Officer)

  • Dave oversees the company’s marketing, business development, product development and client relationship teams. As part of the executive team, Dave works across the organisation to further develop corporate capabilities and performance, as well as looking after vendor selection, development and management. Prior to joining the company Dave led a coffee distribution company during the start-up phase of the business. Dave joined SmartSalary in 2002 and has seen the company grow from 20 staff & 5,000 customers to over 180 staff and 80,000 customers.
  • Dave holds a Bachelor of Business Management from CESA in Bogotá, Colombia, a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Sydney and has successfully completed the Harvard Business School Program for Leadership Development.
  • Dave and his wife Lee are world travelers, having spent time in regions across South & North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. As a South American (proudly Colombian), Dave is obsessed with football (soccer), both as a player and a fan.

Phill Edwards (Chief Information Officer)

  • Phill is responsible for SmartSalary's information technology & telecommunications infrastructure. Phill has more than 20 years experience in information technology and has held management positions in companies such as Dimension Data, Hutchison Telecoms and Ozemail. As the General Manager of Product Delivery for “3” in the early ‘90s he delivered the first range of 3G mobile products in Australia. He was Chief Technology Officer at OzEmail Internet in the late ‘90s when the company was Australia’s leading ISP; prior to joining SmartSalary, Phill was responsible for project delivery at Dimension Data, one of the worlds’s leading providers of IT services and solutions.
  • Phill has a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Leeds University (UK) with a BSc. Hons. in Agricultural Science.
  • He is a keen tennis player and cyclist. He believes that environmental issues are important and that IT has an important role to play in helping address current climate concerns.

Houda Lebbos (Chief Human Resources Officer)

  • Houda oversees the company’s Human Resources function. As part of the executive team, Houda works across the organisation to ensure that a robust framework is in place to recruit, reward and retain outstanding team members, and to best position them to deliver on their key objectives.  This includes the development of all related people systems and processes. 
  • Houda joined SmartSalary in March 2008. Houda previously worked for the Coles Group in a variety of human resources roles ranging from Learning and Development Specialist to generalist roles both within the corporate division and within various brands and most recently headed up the Human Resources department for Coles Express.
  • Houda holds a Bachelor of Education, Graduate Diploma of Educational Studies and Graduate Diploma in Human Resources and Industrial Relations – all attained at RMIT. Melbourne.

Michael Ellies (Chief Operating Officer)

  • Michael was appointed to the newly created COO role in 2009 and is responsible for the delivery of client services and building operational capabilities to enable efficient growth. 
  • Previous roles include Head of Group Services for APN News & Media, Vice President Global ASP Services for internet startup Peak hour and Management Consultant with both Booz Allen and McKinsey & Company. In a prior career he was a medical practitioner for seven years. 
  • Michael has an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of Western Australia.
  • Michael’s interests include design (all types), reading, hi-tech gadgets and hopping on planes to interesting places. He also likes to keep fit so that he can indulge in good food and wine.
