GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

These terms and conditions apply to Smartgroup and all names under which Smartgroup does business. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how Smartgroup manages your personal information. Smartgroup may revise these terms and conditions at any time. Revisions will take effect at the time in which they are posted to this website. These terms and conditions will be governed by and enforced according to the laws of Australia.

Purchases

In order to purchase a Flexi eGift Card from this website, you will be requested and sometimes required to enter certain information, which includes credit card and related payment and billing information. By providing such information, you warrant that it is both current and accurate. Certain data relative to the activity of your user session may be collected. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how Smartgroup manages your personal information.

eGift Cards are redeemable at participating retailers in Australia only. Participating retailers are shown on this website, and may change from time to time. Smartgroup accepts no liability for any change in participating retailers after the purchase of an eGift Card. When converting a Flexi eGift Card into a participating retailer eGiftCard, the conversion is final and cannot be reversed. eGiftCards are not reloadable and balances on several eGift Cards cannot be consolidated onto a new or existing eGift Card.

Customers are responsible for notifying Smartgroup if an eGift Card has not been received within 48 hrs of purchase. If you have notified us that an eGift Card was not received, and the eGift Card has been used, an investigation will be conducted. Smartgroup may require you to sign an affidavit in relation to the missing eGift Card. To begin an investigation into such an issue, please notify Smartgroup.

Lost or Stolen Cards / Certificates

eGift Cards are treated as cash and cannot be replaced or refunded if lost or stolen.

Any person who learns the URL of your eGiftCard can use it, therefore it is your responsibility to keep your eGiftCard safe by keeping the URL private. We recommend you keep the original eGiftCard email safe and take all measures necessary to secure your email. Do not open your eGiftCard on a public or shared computer terminal.

Returns

eGift Cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash, traveller’s cheques or credit onto your account.

Expiration

Flexi eGift Cards and retailer eGift Cards have varying expiration dates. Check the expiry dates carefully before the purchase of a Flexi eGift Card and/or redemption of a retailer eGift Card. Our record of the expiration date is final and cannot be extended. Any balance that remains on the eGift Card after expiry will not be available for use.

When redeeming a Flexi eGift Card by converting part or all of the value into a participating retailer eGiftCard, the validity of that portion of your eGiftCard will change to a shorter period. Expiry periods and dates are shown at the point of purchase of Flexi eGift Cards and redemption of retailer eGift Cards. Any retailer eGiftCard you select is subject to that retailer’s terms, conditions of redemption and expiry dates. When you convert the value into a participating retailer eGiftCard, the conversion is final and cannot be reversed. eGiftCards are not reloadable. Any unused value after the expiry date of any eGiftCard will not be refunded or credited.
