  • You can only package the cost of the mobile handset.

  • The mobile phone must be mostly for work purposes. That is you must use it for work at least 50% of the time.

  • Like all salary packaged items, you can’t claim depreciation or other income tax deductions on mobile phone expenses.

Salary package and save

New customers will need to create a salary packaging account and add the work-related- Mobile phone benefit to their account.

If you're already a Smartsalary customer, log into your account, add the work-related- Mobile phone benefit and follow the prompts.

The cost of the device will be deducted from your pre-tax salary and paid back to you the day after your payday.
